Five Tips to Convert an Enquiry in to a Booking

At ourhouseabroadfrance.com we offer a detailed and highly informative website combined with awareness of the crucial role played by excellent customer service.

1. Respond promptly to any enquiry that you receive. Most people looking for holiday accommodation will contact 2-3 property owners, if you're the first to respond you're in with a good chance of converting that booking.

2. Pick up the phone, even if you're contacted by email. One of the best ways to make the conversion is to actually pick up the phone and call them. Your response time can be quicker and if they like what you have to say and you can give them some nice little details about the house then they're more likely to get a feel for it and book with you, possibly then and there.

3. Get them to trust you. If you don't feel comfortable with phoning then you're better off sending a nicely worded email, don't make it too formal. People who book holiday homes like the relaxed benefits this can offer and not the formality of anonymous hotels bookings. Of course you can give them all the basic info on how to book etc but try and make it a bit more personal, people buy from people.

4. Give more details. It's always worth keeping back some information from your website or listing. It can just be some small details but it's often the small things that can make a difference such as a DVD Library or hairdryers provided or something complimentary.

5. Call to action. To close a sale do not use passive wording such, add a sense of urgency. You could use text such as 'book now to avoid the summer rush', or 'take advantage of our special promotion now', helps the person making an enquiry make a decision whether to book or not.

This is meant as a general guide and is not intended to cover everything. If you have found it useful, have any of your own tips you'd like us to share, or you would like to give us feedback, then please do contact us at info@ourhouseabroadfrance.com
